When the chambers are inflated these frame ribs press against the outer cover and form a high performance bow and stern. The hull design is similar to a hardshell sit-on-top kayak. The self-bailing design allows the Strait Edge to shed water while paddling in bigger waves. You can also close the ports in calm or cold water for a drier ride.
